Although Summer is almost officially over with, the heat continues to linger on for a few more weeks! Everyone is spending a little extra time outside to soak up as much vitamin D before the chilly weather sets in. We are all really looking forward to Fall around here! Anyway, here are a few of my favorite photos from this Summer... I hope you have a day full of sunshine and reflection on God's abounding grace and mercy! Chicks on the farm! Asher LOVES wearing sunglasses!

Earlier this month, an adorable little one at our church turned 1 year old, and I had the opportunity to capture her birthday party! What a fun, colorful evening it was to celebrate the life and health the LORD has blessed her with, as well as, fellowship with other believers. I praise the LORD for allowing us to be surrounded by so many little ones to enjoy and encourage as they grow!
I hope you all had a memorable Independence Day complete with sparklers, fireworks and maybe even Pop-Its! ; ) Here are a few of my favorite photos from the evening.
"O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches." Psalm 104: 24
My youngest brother turned 1 year old recently, so I decided to dress him up as a farmer boy and conduct his first photo shoot! He was a complete natural and very photogenic, which made working with him so much fun! Isn't he just the most adorable little boy??!! Just had to share a few of my favorite shots... {My favorite action picture!} {S w e e t!} {Cuter than a bug!}
This current season, through which we are passing, is a beautiful time to reflect on the goodness of our Creator. The cold winter months have gone and spring has arrived, bringing new life and freshness to the earth. Although seasons come and go quickly and the weather is always changing, our LORD Who created the earth and it's weather is immutable - never changing. He is a steadfast and sure foundation for all His creation to trust in and will sustain us by His sovereign power. God promises to those who trust and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Amidst life's challenges, this promise brings such peace and assurance that only Christ can give. Life will be filled with blessings and trials, which can feel much like a roller-coaster ride and quite unstable at times, but through all of this, we can lean on God - our Rock and Deliverer. We can call upon His name for strength to endure and trust Him no matter what. The following hymn is one of my favorites, and is fitting to meditate on through all seasons of life... May God Bless Your Day! Praise to the Lord, the Almighty Words by: Joachim Neander; Catherine Winkworth
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation! All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near; Praise Him in glad adoration! Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth, Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth! Hast thou not seen how thy desires e'er have been Granted in what He ordaineth? Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee; Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder anew what the Almighty can do If with His love He befriend thee. Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him! All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him. Let the Amen sound from His people again; Gladly for aye we adore Him! {My mom's favorite mug, which she drinks coffee from every morning...she just so happened to have tea on this particular morning when I snapped the picture.}
I love photography, but more specifically, still life photography. Actually, to break it down even further, I love photographing rustic/antiqued items - things that have history behind them!
Our family lives in a 100 year old renovated farmhouse in the country. When we began renovating it 5 years ago, we discovered some old letters tucked away in a wall near one of the old closets. How thrilled we were to find these! While there is nothing particularly special about the letter content, everyone enjoyed reading them and picturing what times were like back in 1927. Anyway, while the letters were out a little while ago, I decided to take the opportunity to have a little fun and photograph them. A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet family! We took many portraits of the children, the individual couples, and quite a variety of group shots. Shooting in the early afternoon was a little challenging, but since we had shade to work with, it wasn't too bad.....praise the LORD! I had fun working with everyone! Thank you, "N" Family for allowing me to be your photographer for the day! I hope to take more photos of you in the future! This is a reality picture! : ) Grandparents and grandkids.
Everyone knows babies are simply adorable almost all of the time.....but.....their sweetness is multiplied when they're sleeping!! Just melts my heart! My little brother, Asher, loves to jump in his bouncy seat and sometimes he gets so tired, that he conveniently bounces himself to sleep. From there, we pick him up and put in his crib! I just LOVE babies!!
